First shed allocation Old Oak Common and in August 1950 moved to Penzance. Originally numbered 4693, it was named in March 1933 whilst carrying this number. Ex GWR 4-6-0 ' Grange' Class Locomotive built Swindon September 1936 and numbered under BR 6809. Withdrawn from Southall in July 1963 and scrapped at Swindon Works. Note: Burghclere Grange was a mere stones throw from the Didcot Newbury & Southampton railway line a few miles south of Newbury. Ex LNER K2 Class 2-6-0 locomotive built by Kitson & Co under works number 5343 in July 1921.Red lettering with black shadow appears in the centre of the gear hub, all on a yellow ground.
