Email validating

I use it in several PHP programs, and it works most of the time.



I know this is an old question but it looks really popular, I want to add that I have a very similar regex for validating emails but ran into an interesting issue the other day. There is no simple regular expression for this problem: see this fully RFC‑822–compliant regex, which is anything but simple.
