But from what I read, there are two flavors: one that is built off Ubuntu (which is itself debian), and one that simply tracks Debian directly?

How would I go about building the Debian packages for the nvidia binary drivers?

Though you might have even better luck asking in Tex Maker forums.

Is there any option to make a glossary entry not to appear in the glossaries list?

However, I am unable to see any options for my nvidia card.

The output of [email protected] ~ $ lspci | grep -i vga .0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) .0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107GLM [Quadro K1100M] (rev a1) @Faheem Mitha I'm new to Mint, so I am most probably wrong.

It will be much easier for us to reproduce your situation and find out what the issue is when we see compilable code, starting with \documentclass{article} \usepackage[colorlinks]{hyperref} \usepackage[acronym,nohypertypes={common}]{glossaries} \newglossary{common}{cacr}{cacn}{Common Acronyms} \makeglossaries \newglossaryentry{sample}{name={sample},description={an example}} \newacronym{abc}{ABC}{a sample acronym} \newacronym[type=common]{xyz}{XYZ}{another sample acronym} \begin{document} First use: \gls{abc}, \gls{xyz}, \gls{sample}. \printglossary \printglossary[type=acronym] \end{document} \documentclass{article} \usepackage[colorlinks]{hyperref} \usepackage[acronym]{glossaries} \newignoredglossary{common} \makeglossaries \newglossaryentry{sample}{name={sample},description={an example}} \newacronym{abc}{ABC}{a sample acronym} \newacronym[type=common]{xyz}{XYZ}{another sample acronym} \begin{document} First use: \gls{abc}, \gls{xyz}, \gls{sample}.

My OS is Elementary OS - Luna (with kernel is Ubuntu 12.04). I'd suggest asking in chat, but it seems you don't have the necessary reputation.

I am running Linux Mint 16 (but my experience has been consistent across other Ubuntu derivates including Xubuntu) on a Lenovo W540.

I know there have been issues with linux compatibility for this machine, but I have just now been able to run all three monitors by docking and running in "Standard" mode (BIOS setting).

Or to put it another way, everybody thinks it’s easy for the other person. Well, I don’t really either, but I imagine it’s that thing where if I say, “Japanese people are shy,” then you start noticing all the ways in which they’re shy. Basically about 99 percent of what’s written about Japan is just regurgitating some myth that somebody else said. It’s not that 100% of the people got lucky; it’s that you’re the only one who stayed around gawking. So I didn’t entirely relish wading into all this, but then Jasmine threw out a leading question I couldn’t resist: For one, I thought it was a strange question, partly because of the word “get,” which sounds like you’re going fishing for Japanese people. For another, I felt the real question was, “Is it easier to date in Japan than it is anywhere else?

You might not meet your husband but it beats a night in front of East Enders.
