Most users are still fond of i Tunes backup so they generally tend to restore their updated i Phone via i Tunes. When you find that apps don’t appear even in i Tunes or if the sync doesn’t really put all apps into the i Phone, you might want to head over to the “Purchases” section (under Quick Links) in i Tunes store.

i Cloud Backup / Restore One of the earliest solutions is to restore your i Phone not via i Tunes but through i Cloud.
Suppose you’ve got things backed up to i Cloud, you might want to restore your i Phone/i Pad through i Cloud.
To ease things, however, Apple does show you the apps that you’ve already installed.
Arguably, this is a lengthy process but this definitely ensures that all your apps are back.
A few users tell us that after updating to latest i OS versions from older ones, apps are getting lost.
And oh, do note that if the app isn’t compatible with the firmware you just updated, you might not see the app getting downloaded or if it does get downloaded, you might run into trouble using the app.
